Phase 1 - The Getting Started Workshop

**Our next "Getting Started Workshop" begins on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. RESERVE YOUR SEAT**

Discovering your husband's secret behaviors brings up more questions than answers. It feels like there is so much to do but you have no idea where to start.

We created the "Getting Started Workshop" so women can have a safe place to get answers to their questions and find a roadmap for healing.

We encourage couples to attend, even though individuals are welcome to attend. Everyone attends together because it's critical that they hear the same information about what each of them is experiencing.

The workshop runs on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:00pm for seven weeks. Our next workshop begins on August 18th.

The workshop is not your traditional group therapy setting. It's a class with group sizes of 15-30 people. All participants agree to and sign confidentiality statements promising to safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of everyone attending the program.

We ask that all participants meet with one of our LifeStar therapists before attending the program for an initial assessment. You can schedule that appointment here.

The workshop costs $400 per person. Payment is required prior to the first meeting. Price includes all workbooks and materials used in the 7-week program.

Please expect to actively participate in the group process. We realize that this is a delicate subject and that emotions will be close to the surface. This work is not easy. Expect to struggle and find yourself outside your comfort zone. Be prepared to be loved and cared for. Our commitment is to prepare a safe environment to share your experience and begin the road to a long-lasting recovery.

Some of the topics covered in the workshop include: addiction cycle, pornography and the brain, impact of pornography on relationships, relational trauma, attachment, impact of family of origin, understanding shame, boundaries, staying out of drama, discussing relapses, structuring a disclosure, relapse prevention, mindfulness, building a recovery plan, reaching out to others for support, and so on. This class is packed full of information, workbooks, and other exercises to help structure a successful long-term recovery journey.

If you have questions about the workshop, let us know and we'll get in touch with you
